Frequently asked questions

What is bike rental software?

It is the tool that lets a bike rental business manage its fleet, schedule, bookings and payments in one place. BikUp Pro adds a booking website with your branding and the visibility of the BikUp marketplace.

Is BikUp Pro suitable for a small bike rental shop?

Yes. This bike rental software was designed with independent rental shops, from a handful of bikes to several dozen. It also suits campsites, holiday cottages and hotels that rent out bikes.

Do I need to be on the BikUp marketplace already?

No. BikUp Pro works on its own, with your website and your counter. Listing on the marketplace is an option you can turn on or not.

I manage everything in a spreadsheet or a paper diary. Is it hard to switch to BikUp Pro?

We move your fleet, your rates and your upcoming bookings over with you during setup. You start with a schedule that is already filled in.

Can I keep my current website?

Yes. You can add the booking module to your existing website, or use the branded website that comes with BikUp Pro.

How are payments and deposits handled?

The customer pays a down payment or the full amount online. The deposit is a card pre-authorisation: it is only charged in case of damage.

How do I join the rental operators’ committee?

Tick the box in the call-back form, or suggest an idea on the roadmap. We will get back to you for a first workshop.
